6 months before our wedding day, we popped into the hotel unannounced, purely because we wanted to see it. When we got there, we were introduced to Katanna, who was the representative who just happened to be on duty that day. From that moment, she was outstanding at every step of the process. She immediately took us to her office, talked through what we were interested in, and then gave us an impromptu tour of the property. Before we left that day, we knew exactly the package we wanted, and she made it all come true when it came time for our wedding. She was proactive, helpful, and always responsive to any of my incessant questions. Aside from that, the entire staff was remarkably helpful and accommodating to my very large family. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the building itself does feel a little out-dated. It could maybe use some renovations to modernize things. But I can't emphasize enough how much the location on the water, the staff, and the family atmosphere made our weekend stay a truly special one.

Only spent one night here. I'm sure this was a beautiful place at one time, but definitely showing it's age. The staff was very nice. The room itself was clean, but the carpet was dirty and sticky. The beds were comfortable. Can't comment on the food because we went down there at 7 and it wasn't ready and we had to check out early. Thankfully no bugs as I read about in other reviews. Also, the location, next to a strip mall that is pretty much closed up, didn't feel safe walking around

If you don’t stay at this hotel, you are missing out! What a wonderful, welcoming, scenic and clean place to stay! I love the old school vibes and the all the new updates like fresh carpet and paint/ Our room was immaculate, and in such a safe area with great views over the river, and right next to a bike path. The best part is the staff- genuinely friendly, kind and personable! Sharoe (sorry if I’m off on the spelling) at the continental breakfast is an absolute gem and made us feel so welcome. We have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and this one is really special
